There's no time of year that's better for a family holiday than Christmas and no better place to spend a winter break than Lapland, the home of Santa Claus.
If you and your kids are looking for a perfect Christmas holiday and the chance to meet Father Christmas, then a family holiday in Lapland is the ideal way to spend a winter break this December.
Depending on your preference, you can book a three-or-four night Lapland holiday where the whole family can enjoy the skiing on offer, in addition to a range of other winter activities.
Trips include your flights from the UK, together with a return transfer to your resort and either three-or-four nights self-catering or half-board accommodation.
Also included in the price of your holiday are thermal suits and boots to keep you warm as possible on the slopes and a traditional Christmas dinner, featuring both English and local Lappish cuisine.
During dinner, younger members of the family will relish the opportunity to meet Santa Claus, who will also give each child a special Christmas gift.
There are two choices of accommodation on offer. For a classic Lapland holiday this December, the tranquil log cabins at Yllas come complete with a fireplace and sauna and are ideal for couples or smaller families.
Larger groups of guests may prefer a stay at the Levitunturi Spa Hotel at Levi, with spacious rooms accommodating all members of the family, complete with an indoor activity centre for the youngest of Santa's little helpers.
With holidays available from December 2nd to 29th, three-night trips run from Sunday to Wednesday, while the four-night option will take you to the arctic winter wonderland from Sunday to Wednesday.
All trips include holiday excursions on their second day, including a meeting with Santa's favoured red-nosed reindeer, Rudolph and a visit to Father Christmas' toy workshop.
Children will also have the chance to make their own Christmas decorations and cookies, either to scoff there and then or save for family and friends back home.
On the third day of your Lapland adventure, you can take a reindeer ride and also enjoy the thrills of snowboarding. Holidaymakers can also wrap up warm and take to the snow explorer-style for a husky ride.
Those of you who opt for an extra day in the Finnish province will be able to make the most of their Lapland holiday with even more time for the unique arctic activities, skiing, or just sitting back with a hot drink and enjoying the sheer beauty of the landscape.
