Jackson Hole lies on the edge of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in America. It offers a unique experience both on and off the slopes. This is a real old fashioned Western town with raised wooden boardwalks, authentic cowboy saloons and fantastic nightlife. It enjoys a superb variety of restaurants, shops, galleries and non-skiing activities such as snowmobiling, wildlife safaris and dog-sledding. The main ski area is at Teton Village, 11 miles away and reached by regular shuttle bus. Its narrow chutes and powder filled bowls are revered by experts the world over and offer some of the best off-piste skiing in North America. There are also plenty of well groomed intermediate runs and an excellent dedicated beginners’ area on Après-Vous.
Jackson is a great place to learn, the ever helpful ski school will give you confidence through expert tuition. The Snow King mountain, directly behind downtown Jackson also offers beginner slopes and a chance to try night skiing.
Miles and miles of perfectly groomed pistes and long cruising runs from the top of Jackson's huge mountain combine to make this ski area an intermediates' paradise. You will never cover all that is on offer in Jackson, but you will have great fun trying!
Numerous world-famous challenges await. Whilst it is advisable to watch the local experts plunge into infamous Corbets Couloir, you will find the superb powder in the Cheyenne, Laramie and Tensleep Bowls an amazing experience.
Powder hounds will not know where to look and Après Vous mountain has well groomed terrain for all levels and a half-pipe to keep freestylers content.
