A small and friendly family-run hotel, the Tschugge has a welcoming atmosphere. It has wonderful views of Zermatt from its elevated position, and yet is just 2 mins’ walk down to the main street.

Bedrooms:

32. All with bath or shower, cable TV, telephone, safe, radio and hairdryer. Standard rooms are very small but newly-refurbished. Superior south-facing rooms have balcony and are beautifully-decorated.

Meals:

Buffet breakfast and 5 course dinner with choice of main.

Facilities:

Whirlpool, Turkish bath and sauna (free); cosy dining room where dinner is served by candlelight; lounge and bar with spectacular feature of natural stone; à la carte restaurant (Sfr20 credit for dinner); lift. Free hotel bus to/from Gornergrat mountain railway (runs to timetable).
