Whistler Voted Number One Ski Resort

People looking for the ultimate ski holiday experience will be interested to hear that the ski resort of Whistler has been voted number one in a list of Best Places to Ski & Stay in North America.
A reader survey in Conde Nast Traveler magazine gave Whistler the top spot out of 109 ski resorts in North America.
The destination was judged on factors which included terrain, town ambience, conditions, lifts and queues, dining, apres-ski and other activities.
"These amazing kudos are an incredible boost to an already hotly anticipated ski season in Whistler. The combination of consistently fantastic snow conditions, unbelievable range of ski terrain and on- and off-mountain activities, fine hotels, dining and shopping … makes Whistler hard to ignore amongst the top-ranked ski resorts of the world," commented Arlene Schieven, vice-president of marketing for Tourism Whistler.
Whistler’s Symphony Express quad chair was also given special credit by Conde Nast Traveler for the access it provides to high-alpine ski terrain.
The resort is not only popular for winter sports; summer 2007 saw a record number of visitors travel to Whistler.
