Vail Launches Site Dedicated To Its Snow After Latest Big Falls
Thursday, December 4th, 2008
After some record snow falls last winter Colorado has lagged a little behind Europe in November on snowfall, but that has changed with heavy snow this week blanketing the state’s rocky mountains.
To celebrate Vail has launched a video-rich website dedicated simply to the abundant powder snow for which the resort and other resorts it owns – Breckenridge, Beaver creek and Keystone – are famous.
The site is at: www.bigsnow.snow.com and features more-or-less daily updated video of the latest snow to hit the famous resorts.
A winter storm has just dropped 24 inches (60cm) of snow on Vail Mountain in four days, with the same amount at Beaver Creek, 20 (50cm) inches at Breckenridge and 11 inches (27cm) at Keystone. More terrain continues to open daily and snow remains in the forecast all week long for all four Colorado resorts.
