Vail’s Epic Pass Offers Best Value For Stays Of 7 Days Or More
Thursday, October 30th, 2008
Vail resorts (Which include Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly, Beaver Creek and Vail itself) is currently offering a season ticket valid all winter for little more than a the cost of a six-day high season pass in one of the resorts.
It means that anyone visiting one of the five resorts for more than six days in high season is likely to pay less to buy this season-long ticket, called the Epic Pass, in advance, rather than a 7 day or longer ticket in resort.
However it is worth checking for other advance purchase discounts (on www.snow.com) or deals through your tour operator to be sure the Epic Season Pass is best for you, depending on the length and dates of your trip(s).
The Epic Season Pass can be used at all or any of the five resorts and is for sale at $579 for adults and $279 for children ages 5-12 and is available for online purchases at www.epicpass.com.
The pass must be purchased by November 15th (by which time Breckenridge and Keystone will already be open!)
“Vail Resorts’ new Epic Season Pass is a groundbreaking initiative that will completely change how our guests experience their ski and snowboard vacations,” according to Rob Katz, chief executive officer of Vail Resorts.
“Altogether that means the pass gives access to 17,400 acres of terrain, 128 chairlifts and 722 trails, for each moment of our season from the day we open in November until we close in April, including every holiday in between.”
Added benefits for Epic Season Pass holders include promotional deals for dining out, ski rental and ski school.

I bought the Epic pass this past year and found it to be one of the best investments i’ve made in a long time! I bounce between the California/Tahoe region and Denver, Colorado so having access to Heavenly and Vail’s colorado resorts was the best combo.
I saw the pass on sale for 599.00 at http://vail.travel/planning/vail-epic-pass.htm
