Those looking to book ski holidays in the new year may be interested in the results of a recent poll by Ski Magazine.
According to the Canadian Press, the publication’s annual "Top 50 Resort Guide" placed Deer Valley as the number one resort for ski breaks.
Meanwhile, other US ski resorts that featured in the top ten included Whistler Blackcomb, Aspen and Snowmass, Park City, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek and Steamboat while Vail took the number two spot.
Ski Magazine described the Colorado resort as "more a snow empire than a resort" where "boredom is never an issue and finding the perfect run is just a matter of time".
According to the publication, Whistler is the biggest ski resort in North America while Breckenridge skiers are to benefit from a new gondola from parking lots to lifts when it opens in January.
