Snowmass Is Top Resort For Snow
Monday, October 1st, 2007
While news of a snow fall across the Alps will be music to the ears of those looking to enjoy ski breaks in Europe, there is also plenty of white across the Atlantic for those who fancy venturing further afield.
For snowboarding holidays in the US, Snowmass in Aspen has been named by Skinet as in the top ten list of best skiing in the USA.
According to Skinet, Snowmass "gets an average of 300 inches of snowfall each year", making it a fantastic choice for a ski holiday or a snowboarding holiday in the USA.
Snowmass boasts a vertical drop of 4,406 feet along with 3,132 acres of terrain and claimed that "the sheer volume of Snowmass demands repeat visits".
Furthermore, the resort even has a mid-mountain Elk Camp Meadows learning area accessed by the Elk Camp Gondola and The Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Centre which could be beneficial to beginner members of group ski holidays as well as those on a family ski holiday.
