Snow Forecast For Whistler

Following a cold spell in Europe and North America this weekend, it has been revealed that more snow is forecast for the ski resort of Whistler this week.
According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, heavy snowfall is predicted for Tuesday morning (January 8th) with 26 centimetres the anticipated depth for the flurries.
The forecast given is for mid-mountain, about 1,480 metres, and freezing level in Whistler is 200 metres, the Ski Club reports.
Temperatures on Tuesday night are expected to drop below freezing with a wind chill of minus 12 degrees Celsius.
Further light snow measuring 28 centimetres is expected on Wednesday January 9th where the temperature is predicted to drop to minus seven degrees Celsius with a wind chill of minus 13 degrees Celsius.
Whistler is currently hosting the GORE-TEX Deep Winter Experience, which takes place between January 4th and January 13th 2008.
