Record Year Predicted For US Ski Resorts
Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

Ski resorts across the United States are anticipating a bumper year in terms of tourism numbers.
The 2007-08 ski season looks likely to be a record-breaker, the Associated Press reports, noting that the record for skier visits was set in the season of 2005-06 with 58.9 million ski holiday tourists.
Heavy snowfall has been reported across the Rockies since mid-December.
"It’s actually been one of those rare years where it’s been winter from coast-to-coast," Michael Berry, president of the National Ski Areas Association, commented.
Meanwhile, the Ski Club of Great Britain has reported that a milder climate is settling in across parts of Europe this week, however "excellent" skiing can still be had on colder upper slopes.
Also, snow is continuing to fall at a number of European resorts in the Alps.
