Mountain Festival To Be Held In Colorado
Friday, March 23rd, 2007
A series of spring events are scheduled to take place in five Colorado mountain resorts, it has been announced.
Vail Resorts is to host the events in the popular ski holiday resorts of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Heavenly.
The events will include musical performances and snow competitions for skiers and snowboarders alike.
Vail Resorts notes that the spring months of March and April are the best time of year for savvy skiers to book their holidays due to reduced crowds and sunnier skies.
Furthermore, the reduced volume of skiers on the slopes makes the spring period a good time for beginner skiers to hit the snow.
Among the events taking place in Vail will be a film festival and a reggae musical extravaganza.
Meanwhile, Breckenridge is to host its seventh Annual Spring Massive Festival which it describes as "a fusion of sport, music, family and legendary spring conditions".
The current weather report for Breckenridge is for snow showers today and tomorrow with a 20 per cent chance of snow on Sunday.
