The skiing holiday credentials of the state of Idaho in the north-west of America have been highlighted.
According to the Independent, the state boasts 18 snow sport resorts and six self-proclaimed "premier ski destinations".
Skiing as a high-energy pastime has been going on in Idaho since in the mid-1930s and with some spectacular peaks and decent snow falls the region could be among the best options available for skiing in the USA.
Ski bargains are available for those who look in the right places and there are some incredible sights to see when visitors are not on the slopes, Simon Calder explains.
Indeed, Mr Calder describes Idaho as being among the greatest outdoor destinations to visit in the entire of the USA.
Rocky mountain peaks make for an incredible backdrop to everyday activities in Idaho, which boasts some of the largest areas of unspoilt geography in America.
