Colorado Dominates Top-ten Ski Resorts List
Tuesday, November 6th, 2007
A total of six resorts in Colorado have been featured on a sector magazine’s newly-released list of the top-ten ski resorts in North America.
SKI Magazine’s rundown of the best places to go for a winter sports break includes Vail, Aspen and Snowmass, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek and Steamboat – all in Colorado, which appears to be making a name for itself as a mammoth ski holiday hotspot.
Voted for by readers of the ski publication, some 7,000 people were said to have voted in the poll of the best places to indulge in some outdoor snow-based pursuits this year.
And the poll could not have been published at a better time – as the Associated Press pointed out: "If you love to ski, you’re already looking ahead to the arrival of winter, planning your visits to snowy slopes and shopping around for preseason offers."
Meanwhile, a recent report in the Dallas News highlighted Colorado’s multi-mountain pass system as a key advantage of ski holidays in the area.
