Friday, February 15th, 2008

Holidaymakers looking to take an impromptu break in the snow could be considering a trip across the pond, where conditions have been noted to be enviable.
According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, people taking ski holidays in Banff will find the best powder in Lake Louise, after more than 20 centimetres of snow fell midweek.
The Ski Club described the snow as "fluffy powder", while noting that light dustings of snow are expected throughout the weekend.
Other powder heavens in Canada at the moment can be found in the Skeena Mountains with 40 centimetres of snow having fallen this week and more forecast for the coming two days.
Blue Mountain in Ontario has enjoyed "almost daily" snowfalls and also boasts powder skiing on its upper slopes.
In other news, the National Post recently rated Banff as a top romantic getaway.
