Top Acts To Perform At Zermatt Unplugged
Sunday, March 21st, 2010
The Zermatt Unplugged music festival is back this April with an eclectic mix of musical genres at Europe’s highest ski area.
Two big names from the 1980s with two very different musical styles will be performing along with a current star. Motown legend, Oscar and four-times Grammy winner Lionel Richie will be on stage at the Swiss resort, followed next day by punk band Generation X front man and performer of the iconic hit, ‘White Wedding,’ Billy Idol. Current star Newton Faulkner will be the headline act at the culmination of the Festival.
The Unplugged festival runs from Tuesday 13th to Saturday 17th April and will see Lionel Richie perform on Wednesday 14th, Billy Idol on Thursday the 15th and Newton Faulkner, performer of the hit song ‘Dream Catch Me’ on the Saturday evening.
The performers are among several dozen performing at multiple venues around the resort and in a special festival tent. More information at www.zermatt-unplugged.ch
Zermatt offers snow sports 365 days a year and after good snowfall so far this ski season conditions should still be very good in mid-April.
