Swiss Tourism Promotion in London Today

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Eddie the Eagle are in London today (Wednesday 30 September 2009) to launch a two day Swiss Extravaganza event at Broadgate Circle in the City of London, supported by Switzerland Tourism and SWISS airlines.
Tara and Eddie are described by organisers as, “both keen skiers of different skill levels,†and both will be speaking up for Swiss skiing with the help of an artificial ski slope (measuring 5m by 20m); nine Swiss mountain chalets serving free Swiss specialities and the chance to experience tubing and to watch freestyling performances.
The event runs from noon to 8pm today and noon to 9pm on Thursday, October 1st.
Switzerland Tourism will help visitors choose the right ski resort, whilst Warren Smith and his Ski Academy team will be on hand answer on all ski-related questions, from confidence-building through to ski carving and ski techniques.
One lucky “Swiss Extravaganza†visitor will also have the chance to win a romantic five-star holiday for two in one of the most picturesque resorts in the Alps – Saas-Fee.
