Snow Fun Wednesdays at Engelberg
Sunday, March 22nd, 2009
Engelberg is offering extra fun on the snow every Wednesday afternoon.
A different kind of on-snow activity takes place each ‘White Wednesday’ between 1pm and 4pm up at Lake Trübsee.
Depending on which week you visit you can try your hand at building igloos, curling or snow-volleyball (on ice skates) and races are also organised using a type of sled known as a balancer where the trick is to hold your balance as best you can. The slalom is lots of fun and a great source of amusement for both participants and onlookers. Snow tubing is also on offer.
Next Wednesday, 25th March, it’s a choice of a snow volleyball tournament or tubing whilst on 1st April it’s a Snowtoys Race.
The Grande Finale is scheduled for 8th April, or if there’s bad weather a week later on 15th April.
Even when the White Wednesdays have finished you can keep skiing and boarding at Engelberg for another month as the season continues to mid-May on the resort’s Titlis glacier.
