International Horse Races Of St Moritz This February
Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

The perfect event for those on family ski holidays who decide to take a rest day from the slopes could be the International Horse Races of St Moritz, taking place this February.
Those on ski holidays in Switzerland can enjoy the "thundering hooves" and "sprays of flying snow" as brave participants are pulled along on skis at fast speeds by thoroughbred horses against the perfect backdrop of the Upper Engadine.
In addition to the White Turf horse races, guests can enjoy the fringe programme, which includes musical performances, art exhibitions and a range of culinary treats.
The International Horse Races of St. Moritz take place on Sunday 3rd, 10th and 17th of February 2008 and have been a Swiss tradition since 1907.
The 66th Gubelin Grand Prix of St. Moritz is described as a "European championship on snow" and is the race in which the highest sum of prize money in Switzerland can be won.
