Family Ski Holidays This Winter
Monday, October 22nd, 2007
As children across the British Isles settle into their October half-term holidays, some parents may be wishing they had booked a last minute ski holiday bargain.
A recent study from Sainsbury’s Bank suggested that accidental damage caused to homes during school holidays could top £100 million, noting that a week of entertaining children could be a "challenge".
"If the weather is poor and they have to spend more time indoors, the chances of your home being damaged in some way by them or their friends increases," Sainsbury’s Steve Johnson added.
In light of this, families who would like to enjoy a Christmas ski holiday may be interested in a list of top ski resorts published by the Independent.
The publication’s list of top family ski holiday destinations includes locations in France as well as Italy.
According to the Independent, Flaine in France is popular with "frolicking" children and features a pool, ice-rink, bowling lanes, cinema and climbing wall, while Val Gardena in Italy boasts childcare and ski school facilities.
