Skiers Advised To Stuff Their Boots
Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Britons taking ski holidays in Europe and the US this ski season have been offered a few travel tips by one commentator.
The Ski Club of Great Britain notes that stuffing "as much as you can" into your ski and snowboarding boots can help to conserve space in suitcases for other items, like small things and valuable possessions which should be stored at the bottom of the bag.
Goggles, meanwhile, should be transported in hand luggage, lest the main suitcase become lost in transit so that those on ski breaks are not uncomfortable on the piste.
However, the Ski Club notes that pockets and hand luggage are not the place to store any tools you may need, as these are likely to be confiscated at the airport.
Insurance policy details are best kept in wallets while a good way of conserving luggage space is for skiers to wear their ski jacket to the airport.
As well as being advised to remember to charge their iPods before travel, holidaymakers are also advised to check the weather forecast.
Snow is predicted to fall across the Alps this weekend, with Switzerland in particular set to benefit.
