Monday, January 28th, 2008

A ski holiday could be the perfect opportunity for romantic travellers to pop the question to their other half, it has been reported.
Ski holidays have been listed as one of the top five most romantic ways in which to propose, according to Travelzoo.
The company reports that the number of marriage proposals always rises around February 14th - Valentine’s Day.
"The number of proposals that happen during a specially planned trip are also on the rise, picking the perfect destination is an important decision and can make any proposal extraordinary," Travelzoo.com’s Gabe Saglie observed.
Next to a fireplace at a cosy lodge was named as one of the romantic ways in which to make a proposal of marriage while on a ski holiday.
Adventurous holidaymakers are advised to pop the question at hot mountain springs outdoors while more conventional romantics could get down on one knee in front of the fire with a glass of Champagne or hot chocolate.
The news comes after the Ski Club reported that St Moritz was the most romantic ski resort for holidaymakers, according to Easier.
