Brits Can Train Up As Ski Instructors

Brits can train up as ski instructors
For snowsports fans who want to take their penchant for ski holidays to the next level, there is the option of training to be a ski instructor on the other side of the world, one commentator has noted.

Ski Club of Great Britain reports the growth in popularity of skiing and ski holidays has fuelled a rise in the demand for instructors.

However, the Ski Club claims that as an "increasingly ski-savvy market" new skiers want qualified instructors as opposed to tuition from those who are simply "good at skiing or boarding".

In order to train up to be a ski instructor ahead of the winter ski season in Europe and the US, the organisation suggests training in New Zealand.

Colin Tanner, co-founder of The Instructor Training Co in New Zealand points out that "as the seasons run opposite here, people can train in the southern hemisphere and then go straight to work in the northern hemisphere".

The European and US winter ski season starts around October - although this can be pushed forward or backward depending on the altitude of resorts and their snowfall.
