UK City Workers Look To Buy Ski Chalets
Thursday, January 25th, 2007
An increasing number of city workers are looking to purchase ski chalet properties, it has been claimed.
DreamChalet reported that it has received a number of enquiries from city workers seeking to spend their bonuses on property in the snow.
Juliana McLane, a spokesperson for the property company, noted that some clients enquire speculatively about what a certain sum of money will buy them in terms of a named-brand resort.
The comments follow the results of a survey by Pure International, which revealed that over half of those receiving city bonuses intend on investing the money in international property, with 31 per cent planning to buy a ski chalet.
Ms McLane also noted that potential buyers look for different things in terms of their investments:
"You have people who are looking for the best skiing and then you have people who may be purchasing for a more all-year-round purpose who will probably aim for a slightly lower altitude resort that they can use lots more in winter."
DreamChalet is a property company that specialises in selling ski chalet properties in France.
