Snow Falls In Scotland
Friday, November 30th, 2007

The Cairngorm mountain range in Scotland is currently nestled under a blanket of white powder, after it was reported that six inches of snow fell across the region this week.
According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, a number of people have already ascended the Scottish peaks in order to make the most of the fresh snow.
The early snow means that the Funicular railway at the resort will also open on Saturday December 2nd, two days ahead of its scheduled opening on Monday December 4th.
Weather forecasts for this weekend suggest that the resort will see sunny spells and gusting winds but further flurries are not predicted.
However, those heading to the region for early Christmas ski holidays can enjoy the Cairngorm Christmas Market, which will be open on Saturday from 10:00 GMT until 16:00 GMT in the T Bar at the Day Lodge.
The Cas Bar, Mountain Shop and Historic Scotland Exhibition space in the Base station are all also open to visitors and those on ski holidays.
