Skiing At Christmas Is Magical

Christmas ski holidays can offer a "magical experience" and are a great way to escape the traditional rush of Christmas shopping and cooking, it has been suggested.
According to Neilson Ski Holidays, a Christmas ski holiday is also a great way to escape stress which can build up over the festive period.
Neilson Ski Holidays also reports that ski resorts offer a "unique charm" over the seasonal period with traditional village streets, buildings and churches decorated in a festive manner.
"Local traditions such as an appearance from Father Christmas or a fireworks display are common. Heading to the slopes on Christmas day is great fun and best of all it means you can enjoy those extra helpings of turkey without the guilt," the ski holiday provider continues.
Christmas time is also a good time for a family ski holiday, according to Neilson, noting that it provides the "dreamed of" white Christmas for children to build snowmen and toboggan down slopes.
Ski resorts in France such as Verbier offer activities including tobogganing, snowshoeing and ice skating.
