New Zealand’s north and south islands have experienced record amounts of snowfall, according to the Ski Club of Great Britain.
The area of Turoa now has the largest snow base the country has ever seen, with the Whakapapa region also enjoying an unprecedented amount of snowfall.
Photographs on the Ski Club’s website show the resorts covered in a thick blanket of pristine snow, ready to be enjoyed by holidaymakers.
Other areas that have reportedly seen high amounts of snowfall include the Treble Cone resort on the south island, which has seen 45 centimetres of snow in the last week, along with Coronet Peak.
Commenting on the remarkable snowfall, ski resort manager Hamish McCrostie said: "It’s vintage Coronet Peak, it doesn’t get much better this".
According to Fourcorners.co.nz, New Zealand has 14 commercial ski areas and is one of the world’s best top skiing destinations.
