An indoor snow centre currently under construction in Manchester, has claimed it has received a significant amount of interest from prospective employees, nine months before it is due to open.
The £31 million Chill Factore alpine village is due to open in October and will create 200 local jobs.
Positions will be available in sectors including bar, retail, restaurant, maintenance, marketing, administration and cleaning.
The management team will also be looking for snowboarding and ski instructors.
"The idea of working in an indoor ski village has really sparked people’s imagination, we are delighted by the volume of calls we have received," commented Andrew Lockerbie, operations director at the Chill Factore.
"Excitement about this venture is obviously spreading as people based in this country and beyond are contacting us to be part of the Chill Factore team so early in the construction process."
The ski centre, which is located four miles outside of Manchester city centre, will host 180 metres of ski slope, a rock climbing wall, a toboggan run and a childrens’ snow play zone in addition to bars, restaurants and retail units.
Designer Salomon has signed an agreement partnership to supply all ski and snowboard rentals to the centre.
