Celebrity Skiers Hit The Slopes

A number of celebrities have taken to the ski slopes of Banff for the Fairmont Banff Springs Sports Invitational event.
The annual event was this year in aid of Robert F Kennedy Junior’s environmental organisation, Waterkeeper Alliance.
Last year, the event raised $1 million (£500,000) for charity.
Alec Baldwin hosted the 2007 event, which also attracted celebrities including Tim Robbins, Jason Priestley, supermodel Christie Brinkley and professional skier Karen Percy-Lowe.
"The Fairmont Banff Springs is pleased to welcome back this fabulous event," commented David Roberts, general manager of the Fairmont Banff Springs.
"The Fairmont Banff Springs Sports Invitational not only provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the hotel but puts the spotlight on Banff as the ideal destination that has something for everyone."
Past celebrities to attend the charity show include, Meg Ryan, Dan Aykroyd, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Martin Sheen.
Ralph Scurfield, president of the Sunshine Village resort claimed that Banff National Park is one of the most beautiful places on earth in which to enjoy skiing.
