Tignes Skiers Given Driving Advice
Thursday, June 19th, 2008

As of the July 1st 2008 a new law comes into effect in France that will have an effect on those who plan on driving to France for ski holidays this winter.
Tignesnet.Com advises skiers that it will become French law that motorised vehicles carry a warning triangle and a high-visibility security vest in case of emergencies and breakdowns.
The law is aimed at making emergency stopping, breakdowns and accident scenes safer for road users.
Skiers are reminded that the law not only applies to French drivers and drivers of continental vehicles but for UK holidaymakers driving in France in their own motors or hire cars.
According to Tignesnet.com, research reveals that taking the following steps can raise awareness in other drivers and help to reduce accidents.
In the case of a breakdown or emergency, drivers must don the high visibility vest before exiting the stationary vehicle.
Once they get out of the car, drivers are obliged to place the warning triangle in a visible position before activating the car’s hazard warning lights.
