Meribel And Courchevel Prepare For Opening
Friday, December 7th, 2007

The French ski resorts of Meribel and Courchevel are due to open for the winter ski season this weekend.
December 8th sees Meribel - which was recently voted the world’s best resort for ski holidays by British skiers in the Telegraph Travel Awards - open for action.
Meanwhile, according to the Ski Club of Great Britain, snow conditions at other ski resorts in France are looking good for those taking early ski holidays.
Tignes and Val d’Isere have well packed pistes thanks to flurries which fell earlier in the week while skiing is possible from the Grande Motte glacier down to resort level.
Meet and greet parking company Meteor told TravelMole that more people are going on pre-Christmas ski holidays.
"The weather conditions have led to an improvement in early season bookings as many ski enthusiasts have seen the snow and decided to hit the slopes sooner and book before Christmas to make the most of the superb conditions," commented sales and marketing director Steve Waller.
