Lots Of Activities In Les Arcs This Winter

Those people considering France as a destination for their ski holidays this year should take a look at what Les Arcs has to offer.
The region’s Arc 1950 resort is scheduled to open on the weekend of Saturday December 15th, a week after the resort of Meribel is due to open on December 8th.
Shortly after Arc 1950 opens, the resort will hold a Golden Mics awards ceremony gathering between December 18th and December 20th.
Meanwhile, those on a family ski holiday may enjoy the dog sledding, life-size igloo, ice and snow sculptures, fairy stories and legends on the theme of Lapland and the North Pole put on at Arc 1950 between January 21st until 24th.
Taking place just prior to this on January 20th is the Path of Vaugel – a friendly race that those on group ski holidays may enjoy participating in.
"This popular and friendly ski-mountaineering race, which promotes contact between local people and holiday-makers, welcomes both professionals and amateurs. It is held on the sunny slope facing Les Arcs … and is part of the Club Alpin Francais challenge," Les Arcs reveals.
Other resorts in the Les Arcs region include Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 2000 and Bourg Saint Maurice.
