Les 2 Alpes To Provides Avalanche Experience For Guests
Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008
Les 2 Alpes will unveil a new avalanche simulator for its guests this winter.
This new attraction, named ‘Robocoaster,’ will be located within an igloo at the foot of the slopes and right in the resort centre.
The Robocoaster is an avalanche simulator that is described as, “both fun and educational,” by the resort and allows guests to experience the sensation of being caught in an avalanche.
The simulation lasts for two minutes, similar to a real avalanche. The time includes 20 seconds in the dark, alone, with just the sound of a dog scratching.
At the end of the simulation there is a presentation on mountain safety, with practical advice on off-piste skiing.
