Leading Comedy Talent In Meribel
Thursday, February 12th, 2009
Méribel will offer an extra dimension to ski holidays this winter when it stages the second Altitude Festival at the end of March.
The international festival of comedy, live music and DJs offers late season skiers and boarders an unbeatable combination of daytime snow fun and laughter at night.
This season the Altitude Festival runs from 28th March to 3rd April and will once again offer big name DJs and bands as well as comedy.
Some of the acts scheduled to take part include Marcus Brigstocke – one of the Festival’s organisers, as well as Ardal O’hanlon, Phil Jupitus, Rich Hall, Russel Howard, Dave Goreman, Andrew Maxwell, Phil Nichol, Omid Jhalili and Alan Carr.
The Festival is not an entirely British affair however, you can expect comedy talent from Ireland, Australia, Canada and America too along with French and bilingual comedy.
Venues will range from the large to the tiny and intimate and there will be a festival atmosphere during the day too, with competitions and other fun slope events (last year saw fancy dress point-to-point races and an open boardercross competition) as well as impromptu parties.
