High Altitude Val Thorens Still Open
Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Britons enthused by recent snowfalls across the UK may wish to head abroad for some last minute skiing of the 2007-08 ski season.
If a trip across the pond to Canada or the US is out of the question, one of the best resorts to head to in Europe at this time of year is Val Thorens.
Val Thorens in France is the highest ski resort in Europe and its ski season extends into early May.
Britons on ski holidays in Val Thorens can choose between three ski areas of the Three Valleys, the Vallee des Belleville as well as Val Thorens and Orelle.
Val Thorens also offers skiers the guarantee of "outstanding snow conditions" as 99 per cent of its slopes are located at an altitude of above 2,000 metres.
Winter skiing is available in Val Thorens between December and March and spring skiing takes over from April until May 4th. After this period, skiing is available on the Peclet glacier from November.
