France Is Top 2007-08 Ski Destination

France has once again been touted as the top destination for ski holidays for the 2007-2008 season.
Last month, Frances Tuke of the Association of British Travel Agents (Abta) claimed that France would "again" be the number one destination for Britons looking to take ski breaks.
This stance looks to be bolstered by a list of top-ten ski resorts, from TripAdvisor, which features the France ski resorts of La Plagne and Les Deux Alpes in the first and tenth spot.
La Plagne, which opens in early December, was placed in the number one slot thanks to its "great mountain views of Mont Blanc and the Beaufortain range" as well as the diverse range of winter sports activities it offers in addition to skiing, such as paragliding, sledding, snowshoeing and ice skating.
"Snow is already falling across the Alps … and so signs are positive for early on in the season," Ms Tuke recently commented in regards to the ski situation in Europe.
Meanwhile, Abta predicts that over 1.3 million UK holidaymakers will take to the slopes this winter.
