Fantastic Start To Ski Season
Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Good news for Britons thinking about taking a Christmas ski holiday, December 2007 is being hailed as one of the best ever starts to the ski season "in memory".
According to Ski Famille, snowfall so far has affected a reversal in trends from last ski season.
Good snow cover has been reported in a "vast range" of ski resorts, with the north of Mont Blanc in particular benefiting from the early season snowshowers.
"We had great snowfalls last week giving superb coverage to all slopes. This week has stayed cold but the sun is now shining. Families joining … for Christmas look set to have an exceptional holiday," company managing director Chris Thompson commented.
Ski Famille also noted that while the early snow has encouraged many early skiers, the slopes are likely to be quieter in January.
Earlier this year, esure predicted that more than three million Britons would head to the slopes this ski season.
