Friday, October 5th, 2007
For those considering booking a ski holiday this year, why not first visit the British Ski and Snowboard Show, which is taking place in Manchester over the weekend (October 6th-7th).
If you want to check out the latest gear then head to the GMEX centre in Manchester where you can also view expedition footage of the Polar Challenge team and even try out your mountaineering skills on the climbing wall, the Ski Club of Great Britain reports.
Meanwhile, those considering a snowboarding holiday are sure to enjoy demos by the World Cup Half Pipe Team featuring Ben Kilner, Dan Wakeham and Angus Leith on a specially installed half pipe.
Other competitions also will be taking place such as the New Breed competition - exclusive to The British Ski and Board show in Manchester.
"Some of the UK’s hottest young riders aged 10- 25 years old will be showing you what they can do going head-to-head over the course of the weekend," Global Snow Shows notes on its website.
A must-see event for those looking forward to enjoying ski breaks in 2007 and 2008.
