The next few months are packed full of ski and snowboarding events scheduled to take place around Europe.
Verbier Ride - an event that was born in 1999 as a social gathering for young skiers and Verbier locals - begins tomorrow, January 18th 2008, while Natives Respect the Mountain Slalom Race is taking place in Meribel on January 23rd.
The event is open to all abilities and styles and is expected to attract crowds of people who are enjoying ski holidays in France.
In March both Verbier and Meribel are hosting further snowsports events, with the Verbier Challenge Cup taking place on March 27th and the British Land National Ski Championship scheduled to be held in Meribel between March 30th and April 6th.
Meanwhile, Geneva was recently named as the number one flight destination for people looking to take ski breaks.
The region is reputed to be the "creme de la creme" of skiing according to Cheapflights.co.uk.
