Levi, one of Finland’s largest ski resorts, opens to skiers and boarders on Friday ahead of the resort’s staging of Men’s and Women’s FIS Alpine World Cup Slalom races the following weekend, 14th – 16th November.
Snowmaking on the main slope was completed yesterday and resort is ready to open, and to stage the race.
“Snow making is now ready at the race slope and we’ll put all effort to make training courses ready for the event” says Race Chief, Tapio Kokko.
The resort now plans to open the Front piste to the public this Friday November 7th and the first package tours for skiers from the UK begin in about a month’s time.
