Whistler A Winter Wonderland
Monday, December 3rd, 2007

The Canadian ski resort of Whistler has been branded a "winter wonderland" by the location’s snow reporter.
Alex Hearn, the voice of Whistler Blackcomb’s snow report, claims the weather the mountains have experienced recently offers an excellent setting for people thinking of heading off on a ski holiday.
"We got lots of snow overnight and then blue bird skies and sun during the day. You couldn’t ask for a better combination," Miss Hearn said.
Whistler’s 5,000 acres of ski area - the biggest in North America according to the resort - opened for skiing into the village as of December 1st, following a November that was characterised by plenty of snow.
More than five feet of the white stuff fell on the resort’s slopes during November, Whistler claims, perfect for anyone dreaming of taking to the snow and having some first-class fun on a Christmas ski holiday.
According to the Whistler website, the resort boasts more than 200 ski trails, with more than 8,100 skiable acres.
