The park contains over nine acres of terrain features and jumps for skiers and snowboarders including a new a 20 foot flat box for rail riders, two new 16 foot corrugated culverts and a 30 foot straight rail.
Along with the new features, Sun Peaks is taking care of an element of Park management often lacking and ensuring the highest level of maintenance and safety, and a fresh layout thanks to their dedicated park crew.
Events coming up soon include the Shredidential Election ’10 on March 14, the largest park event of the season. Skiers and snowboarders compete for cash and prizes in this slopestyle contest.
Then on April 4 the Chairman of the Board contest will see snowboarders going head-to-head on three very different park features. At each feature, prizes will be awarded to the rider who throws down the best trick at that specific location. The overall winner will be the entrant who is the strongest rider and most consistent across all three features.
