There is a cornucopia of mountainous resorts on offer to skiers in Canada according to smh.com.
In British Columbia and Alberta there are over 50 different resorts for those wanting to hit the slopes and each offers a diverse choice of terrain.
Fernie offers skiers the best powder snow according to the website. The resort received over 11 metres of snow during last season and is a favourite with the local residents.
Another local favourite is Castle Mountain and is celebrated due to the steep slopes which are on offer at the resort.
Castle Mountain has much to offer to both advanced skiers and beginners with a special area on the mountain for those who are just starting out in the sport as well as parts for the more adventurous.
