See Nine In 09 At Whistler

As excitement builds in British Columbia with the Winter Olympics now a little more than a year away, Whistler is highlighting the chance for visitors this winter to witness the world’s top winter sportsmen and women in competition in the resort.
In “dress rehersals” for the coming Games, many World Cup events are being staged in Whistler during the next few months to help check out the new facilities arte working as planned ahead of the Olympics and to give athletes the chance to try them out for the first time.
The events are grouped together under the promotional name, “Experience Nine in 09” with nine World Cups taking place between January and March and the chance for visitors to see the world’s best at free or nominal ticket prices.
First up will be the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cups on February 6th and 7th. Tickets are five dollars per day and are an incredibly affordable way capture the excitement and watch the world’s top athletes that will most likely be sliding for medals in 2010.
