Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Winter sports fans who enjoy their ski holidays complete with plenty of powder snow may wish to consider a trip to Canada.
The Ski Club of Great Britain reports that those taking North American ski breaks can expect to enjoy "pristine powder" as well as short lift queues and amazing scenery.
Those looking to take a ski holiday in Canada can choose from four main regions, Alberta, Quebec, Newfoundland and British Columbia – home to the popular ski resort of Whistler.
"Safe runs, friendly people and magnificent scenery. The snow is excellent for skiing or snowboarding holidays," a skier from Portishead told the Canadian tourism commission.
In addition to Whistler, British Columbia is home to Big White, Fernie, Kicking Horse, Silver Star, Sun Peaks, Panorama, Mt Washington, Grouse Mountain, Red Mountain and Revelstoke.
Banff, also a popular ski holiday resort, is located in Alberta.
