Canada Expecting Great Ski Season

Canada expecting great ski seasonThe 2008 skiing season looks set to be ideal for holidaymakers as Canada is expecting more great snow conditions, the country’s tourism commission has said.

According to Maggie Davison, managing director of the Canadian Tourism Commission UK, many of the Canada snowboarding and ski resorts have already experienced snow this season and are looking forward to much more.

In addition, the popularity of Canada’s ski culture, coupled with the buzz surrounding the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver makes the country an even more tempting prospect for those who want to have fun on the piste.

"We feel we can confidently say ‘you haven’t skied, until you’ve skied Canada’," Ms Davison said.

Some popular ski holiday destinations in Canada include Whistler, British Columbia and Blue Mountain, which is situated in Ontario.
