10 Years Of Mont-Sainte-Anne’s 24 Hour Race
Friday, January 16th, 2009
This weekend on January 17th and 18th, Mont St Anne will stage its annual 24Hour race, the resort’s annual fundraiser, for the tenth time. The event helps to raise money for Les Oeuvres Jean-Lafrance, a local charity for troubled teens.
A unique experience, the race is always touched by the immense compassion and camaraderie of the participants and anyone can take part. There’s a carnival atmosphere as skiers circulate on the gondola, the ascent of which is the one rest point, and then head down the slopes through the day and then through the night.
Mont-Sainte-Anne has had great powder snow conditions so far this year.
The resort close to Quebec City, which already has extensive snowmaking cover received 20cm (eight inches) of snow in the latest fall.
59 runs are open at Mont-Sainte-Anne including the majority of the resort’s expert grade terrain.
