Good Snow Conditions Reported In Bulgaria
Monday, December 31st, 2007

First-rate snow conditions have been reported for those on ski holidays in Bulgaria.
According to the Sofia Echo, conditions in the region’s mountains for New Year’s Eve are reported to be "good" by the mountain rescue service.
Meanwhile, ski runs at the country’s resorts are groomed and open with the exception of the Borovets gondola which is now closed.
Skiers are advised to not stray from the marked-out pistes however, as avalanche danger still exists in some areas.
The region has seen sunny spells recently, while snow depths have reached 45 centimetres in some areas.
Those enjoying ski breaks in Bulgaria over the new year period may wish to attend the New Year’s concert which is taking place in Sofia.
The Association of British Travel Agents recently reported that 3.5 million Britons would be spending new year abroad this year.
