World Cup Brings Skiing To Austria

A ski holiday may become even more appealing to sports fans after the ski world cup begun over the weekend.
The events, taking place this year at Solden in Austria, have seen the defending world champion Aksel Lund Svindal open the championships with a win in the giant slalom.
But once the competitions are over, those looking to emulate their sporting heroes may wish to plan a visit to one of the resorts in the country so they too can Ski Austria .
Indeed the Telegraph has reported that snow covering has already come at high altitude, with a number of resorts offering guaranteed snow.
Although snow covering had not been ideal until February last winter, the paper reports, resorts in Austria could be set to benefit from good snowfall from much earlier in the season this winter.
Besides the competition on the Rettenbach glacier, there are a number of resorts that may be appealing to those looking to Ski Austria . The Telegraph reports that Alpbach and Ischgl are among many locations in the country that offer great snow.
