Austria is an often overlooked holiday destination in terms of high altitude snow sports, it has been claimed.
Neilson Ski holidays reports that resorts like Solden and Mayrhofen make Austria an ideal location for those seeking high-altitude breaks.
Reporting that the destination "easily joins the 3,000 metre plus club", Neilson Ski notes that those on a ski holiday can enjoy "typical Austrian hospitality".
Meanwhile, other destinations it recommends include the Ski France favourites Tignes and Val d’Isere.
"The renowned Espace Killy ski area combines altitude, glaciers, an extensive lift system and first class ski schools to offer some of the best skiing in Europe," Neilson Ski notes.
Espace Killy encompasses 137 pistes many of which are suitable for children.
