Snowboarding and Freeski Month in Grandvalira

Grandvalira in Andorra is celebrating its best season in many years for snowfall, with 240cm (eight feet) on upper slopes. Another 30cm (12 inches) of anow has fallen in the past few days.
All connections between the giant ski areas various sectors are open, all 66 runs are open, all 193km (130 miles) of piste are open and all 111 lifts are operating.
This weekend (March 14 and 15) the Isard’s Park at Grandvalira-Pas de la Casa is the place to be to experience Saturday’s first freeski and snowboard contest. The race is only for invited riders and will include freestyle demos and a DJs’ duel.
A second recreational race will take place at the slope base open to any Freestyle junkie who wants to give it a try, and there are no age restrictions.
The next event after this weekend is the Total Fight Masters of Freestyle which will see ski and board competitors racing head to head.
